Biography

Tirus Muya is a seasoned ICT professional currently serving as a Senior ICT Technologist II in the Academic Division at Murang’a University of Technology. He holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems and is presently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science, with his research centered on optimizing Swahili digraph recognition. His expertise spans several critical areas, including Artificial Intelligence, software development, cybersecurity, ICT policy formulation, and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). Tirus is actively engaged in research, with numerous papers published in reputable journals. He also serves as a peer reviewer, contributing significantly to the academic community’s body of knowledge. His interests extend to AI, natural language processing, and machine learning, which enhance his proficiency in curriculum development. Additionally, he is involved in various professional bodies, reflecting his commitment to continuous professional development and contribution to the field.
