Biography

Dr. Daniel Kimutai Makupi is a lecturer in Computer and Network Security at Murang’a University of Science and Technology in Kenya, bringing extensive expertise to the field. He focuses on security in emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, and 5G networks, with particular attention to AI security. Dr. Makupi is proficient in developing decentralized applications (DApps) and in penetration testing, enhancing cyber-security practices. He is skilled in various programming languages and has hands-on experience in optimizing Cisco and Huawei routers and switches. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Makupi is actively involved in academic research, contributing to numerous peer-reviewed publications in the areas of software metrics and security. He is dedicated to mentoring students and young professionals, guiding them in their academic and career pursuits. His commitment to education and innovation enriches the learning experience and establishes him as a respected figure in the field of computer security.
