Biography

Nancy Muthoni holds a Ph.D. in Administrative Management (Public Administration) from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. She is a public administration and policy lecturer at Murang’a University of Technology. Her career has been shaped by significant opportunities, including being selected as one of 20 young Africans for the 2023 Young African Professional Fellowship at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), where she contributed to research on policy and sustainable development in Africa and received mentorship in leadership. In 2023, she was also awarded the Sub-Saharan Africa Women Researchers Grant by the University of Alicante, Spain, in recognition of her research in Public Administration and sustainable development.

She is a member of the International Political Science Association (IPSA), Association of African Public Administration and Management (APAAM), and UNESCO Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), among others. Her research interests include public policy analysis and evaluation, The Belt& Road Initiative, Africa’s transport development and integration, governance and sustainable development, Public opinion& citizen engagement, Leadership, ethics, and values in public service, Program evaluation and impact assessment in the public sector, among others for which she has a number of publications.
