Dr. Alice Omariba a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Education and Technology and Dean in the School of Education of Murang’a University of Technology and a research consultant. I hold a PhD in Educational Communication and Technology, a Master of Education in Educational Technology, a Bachelor of Education (Arts) from Kenyatta University, Senior Management Course from Kenya School of Government, Skills for Prosperity from Open University, UK and Educational Innovation and Leadership Micro Degree from Tallinn University, Estonia. She is a dedicated and accomplished Senior Lecturer, a passionate educator, mentor and teaching professional with 25 years’ experience in diverse environments committed to fostering a dynamic learning environment, contributing to academic research, and mentoring students for success. She is an accomplished, results-driven, and skilled in driving students’ competency and operational efficiency through training and process improvements, recognized ability in training, managing time frames, and multiple priorities as well as the ability in creating strategic partnerships that help achieve aggressive goals. She has proven ability in public policy, thinking outside the box and effect change using a solution-based mindset retaining the ability to assess most situations quickly and adapt into the style that most fits the situation. Committed to quality service, management and performing responsibilities with professionalism & ethics even under extreme pressure while implementing established standards and procedures.

Dr. Omariba has a wealth of experience in Social Science researches both as a consultant and a researcher in studies such as Kenya Demographic and Health Survey II(USAID), Community Based Distributors(CBD) Impact in Kenya (Population Council), Youth Employability Skills (GEC) by Action Aid, peace and security for refugees, Vulnerability and women empowerment projects by KEEP I and II one of the a GEC projects in Africa, Access to Skills for Employment (LEAP) project for marginalized communities in Kenya (GEC project), Education for Life(EFL) by ActionAid and Chesire , learners With Disabilities by inAble, Girl Child Educationin for marginalized communities and gender based studies in Kenya. During the COVID-19 period (June – December 2020), Dr. Omariba was a research consultant in researches targeting persons with disabilities one of which targeted the learners with disabilities in four counties, School Re-entry Policy in Migori County, Kenya and other research activities just to mention a few. Her rich experience in education and social studies and networking makes her suitable for research activities. She has also been involved in teaching and research at the University level for over 12 years. She has developed many academic programmes as a Chairman of Department of Education and Technology and Dean School of Education which have been accredited by commission for University Education She has conducted many surveys, focus group discussions, telephone interviews and Key informant interviews. She has over 20 publications in referred journals.
