Biography

Mr James Wamwenge is currently pursuing a PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of Nairobi, with a dissertation focused on the “Numerical Solution of the Replicator Equations,” supervised by Dr. Victor Juma and Dr. Hudson Were. They hold an MSc in Applied Mathematics from the same institution (2021), where their thesis explored “Numerical Solutions of PDEs of Conservation Laws.” Additionally, they completed a BSc in Mathematics with First Class Honors in 2018. Their research interests include game dynamics, numerical analysis, and mathematical modeling, with a recent publication on “Numerical Solutions for PDEs of Conservation Laws” (2021). They have received the University of Loughborough Research Grant for work on spatial malaria modeling and a full scholarship from the University of Nairobi for their MSc. Since January 2021, they have served as a part-time lecturer at the University of Nairobi, teaching courses ranging from Calculus to Complex Analysis. They are also a member of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
